Job Description

Provides technical expertise in Diagnostic Radiographic procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of St. Alexius Medical Center.

Job Responsibility

Provides technical expertise in Diagnostic Radiographic procedures
Successfully performs clinical procedures
Provides guidance to the Radiology Technologist students to help provide a successful clinical education
Follows established radiation safety protocols for patients and staff
Manages the routine use and the QC requirements of Radiology equipment
Demonstrates professional practice standards
Provides appropriate patient care for all Radiology patient needs

Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required
Registered Technologist (or registry eligible graduate) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must achieve registration within six months of graduation or hire date
Preference for one year experience working as a Radiologic Technologist

Prepares specimens for transport to Medical Center or State Lab for procedures not performed at the specific facility
