Job Description

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Radiology Technologist to our Radiology Department at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time opportunity working Thursday and Friday, 7:30am - 8:00pm. As a Radiology Technologist, your day will consist of prepping rooms and positioning patients to capturing clear diagnostic images that guide clinical decisions. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses and physicians, operate advanced imaging equipment, and ensure every patient receives safe, accurate, and compassionate care.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing high-quality radiographic procedures
  • Promoting goodwill amongst co-workers and with other departments, and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
  • Reporting to the Lead Technologist on shift
  • Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
  • Identifying, preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, by state and federal regulations, or Lawful institutional policy

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI - Cardiovascular
  • Licensed Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) - DOH
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT - ARRT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA

  • Correctly identifies patients and their files ensuring a high degree of accuracy, as evidenced by the lack of mislabeled films and files
  • Tracks patients according to department procedures. Identifies errors ad take immediate action for corrections, as evidenced by the Radiology Information System reports
  • Maintains exposure reading within the As Low As Reasonably Achievable limits, as evidenced by monthly radiation exposure reports
  • Demonstrates the effective use of radiation protection procedures with collimation devices and protective shielding
