Job Description

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Job Responsibility

  • Produce diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions
  • Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs
  • Contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction
  • Ensure a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously
  • Consistently produce quality images within hospital guidelines and department standards
  • Accurately complete documentation according to hospital and department guidelines
  • Maintain clinical competency assuming responsibility for upgrading skills through participation in in-service education and other continuing education activities
  • Participate in the training of departmental personnel and students
  • Assist MD and other staff in preparing for and performing procedures consistently following sterile technique, infection control guidelines and department standards
  • Evaluate personal and departmental work volume and flow to ensure efficient departmental patient care
  • Prioritize work according to urgency and resources
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations

Requirements

  • Must have satisfactorily completed a formal radiologic technology training program accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) and the California Department of Public Health, Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB)
  • 4 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working in and proficient in 1 advanced modality
  • OR 3 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist and working and proficient in 2 advanced modalities, one of which must be CT or Mammography
  • Medical Radiographer: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
  • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA, upon hire
