Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality
Operation of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations
Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality
Delivery of patient care and in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement
Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards
Development of leadership skills and professionalism for self through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology
Licensed Radiographic Technologist by the IDNS/IEMA
CPR Certification
ARRT Registry eligible
Knowledge of Radiology Information Computer System
Good communication skills
Ability to anticipate patient, employee and department needs and refer for action
Nice to have:
Previous radiology experience is desirable
Prior experience with various age groups is preferred
