Job Responsibility

  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique and positions patients using immobilization and support devices to ensure optimum film quality
  • Operation of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, computed radiography and PACS equipment to ensure quality examinations
  • Adherence to department standards of radiographic quality
  • Delivery of patient care and in accordance with department standards of continued quality improvement
  • Ensure a secure and safe patient and work environment by maintaining continued awareness of safety hazards
  • Development of leadership skills and professionalism for self through participation in department and/or hospital-based committees and continuing education programs

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiographic Technology
  • Licensed Radiographic Technologist by the IDNS/IEMA
  • CPR Certification
  • ARRT Registry eligible
  • Knowledge of Radiology Information Computer System
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate patient, employee and department needs and refer for action

Nice to have

  • Previous radiology experience is desirable
  • Prior experience with various age groups is preferred
