As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction. To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Job Responsibility:
Aide utilizes 2 patient identifiers with all patients and places check marks on requisition to ensure appropriate patient information
Aide assesses patients in ER/Inpatient rooms, removes all EKG leads and informs tele tech and documents on requisition who they spoke with
Aide transfers oxygen from the wall to a portable oxygen tank and documents the requisition number of liters the patient is on
Aide removes pulse oximeter with the permission of the RN/CAN and documents on requisition if patient was on a pulse oximeter
Aide ensures appropriate IV size is present for the exam being performed in the imaging department, if not, contact RN to change IV size
Aide utilizes lift equipment and other transferring devices to safely transfer the patient from their bed to transporting devices such as a wheelchair, stretcher, or move the patient in their hospital bed
Requirements:
High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire
High School GED General Studies, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, within 30 Days
Nice to have:
1 year of Healthcare experience in a hospital or care facility setting
