This role involves reviewing and performing diagnostic imaging procedures with attention to patient safety, accurate equipment use, and clear communication about exams and radiation exposure. The technologist also supports patients and families, manages equipment and daily operations, ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulations, and pursues ongoing professional development.
Job Responsibility:
Review and evaluate imaging requisitions
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures
Ensure patient identification and safety
Assess and support patients’ physical and emotional needs
Provide clear explanations about exams and radiation exposure
Practice ALARA principles
Identify and report equipment malfunctions
Assist in organizing and maintaining daily departmental operations
Complete accurate documentation
Comply with hospital policies and regulations
Participate in meetings
Pursue ongoing professional development
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
MA Radiographer license
ARRT certification
