The incumbent operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians and perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices. As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Job Responsibility:
Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians
Perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices, including projections, patient positioning, safe patient transfers to imaging tables and transportation
Demonstrates competency in patient care for pediatric (neonate as necessary), adult and geriatric patients
May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure
Participate in the department's call schedule to ensure coverage of weeknights, weekends and holidays
Ability to function independently in radiology workflows which include RIS/PACS systems as wells as department communication systems, phones and or any other electronic support systems
Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs
Actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction
Requirements:
Associate Degree or Certificate from an accredited Radiology Technology Program
Experience with RIS and PACS systems
Clinical rotations in a hospital setting, with experience (student or professional) in routine radiographic procedures

Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
