This role involves reviewing and performing diagnostic imaging procedures with attention to patient safety, accurate equipment use, and clear communication about exams and radiation exposure. The technologist also supports patients and families, manages equipment and daily operations, ensures compliance with hospital policies and regulations, and pursues ongoing professional development.
Job Responsibility
Review and evaluate imaging requisitions, perform diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensure patient identification and safety
Assess and support patients’ physical and emotional needs, providing clear explanations about exams and radiation exposure while practicing ALARA principles
Identify and report equipment malfunctions to maintain proper functioning of imaging devices
Assist in organizing and maintaining daily departmental operations
Complete accurate documentation, comply with hospital policies and regulations, participate in meetings, and pursue ongoing professional development.
Requirements
An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology is required
MA Radiographer license and ARRT certification is required.
