Pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Perform a variety of imaging examinations while actively contributing to a positive patient experience. Must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Job Responsibility:
Produce diagnostic images
Perform imaging examinations including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs
Contribute to a positive patient experience
Obtain quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding
Use portable x-ray machines and c-arms
Assist Radiologist with Fluoroscopic procedures
Instruct and educate patient regarding the ordered test and prepare the patient for the procedure
Use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation
Access PACS, review studies, perform basic functions for image manipulations, resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, transfer images, and print from PACS
Record all care information concisely, accurately, completely, timely, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire
Medical Radiographer: ND, upon hire
Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Nice to have:
Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital
