Job Responsibility

Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director
Obtains and documents patient history
Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation
Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems
Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards
Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure

Job Responsibility

Prepares room and patient per order, properly sets up equipment, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors in order to produce a high-quality image
Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider. Understands and practices the Dual patient identifier procedure
Maintains appropriate supplies in the x-ray rooms
Produces a diagnostic, high quality image for interpretation by the Radiologist
Transfers patients to and from imaging tables using assistive devices such as ARJO lift, transfer boards, hover mats
