Job Summary: Performs outpatient and/or inpatient Radiographic procedures using mobile and stationary equipment within the pertinent clinical setting of General Diagnostics, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Radiography, Emergency Radiography, and Mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures in the Operating Room.
Job Responsibility:
Performs outpatient and/or inpatient Radiographic procedures using mobile and stationary equipment within the pertinent clinical setting of General Diagnostics, Fluoroscopy, Mobile Radiography, Emergency Radiography, and Mobile Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures in the Operating Room
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA) and the facility’s policies and procedures
Verifies proper patient identification and exam ordered to ensure correct patient imaging is performed
Practices radiation protection by calculating and selecting proper technical factors based on patient’s age, physical condition, and suspected pathology
Prepares exam room and X-ray equipment to conduct X-ray examinations in accordance with infectious disease, sterilization and patient safety protocols
Orients and trains new staff members in department procedures and equipment
Requirements:
Associate's Degree in radiology or associated field of study required
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
License Radiographer (142) - State of Wisconsin required
ARRT - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
Nice to have:
Bachelor's Degree in radiology or associated field of study preferred
