Job Description

OSM Thome is looking for an experienced Radio Operator to work offshore on FPSO/FSO units out of Singapore. You will handle all radio and communication duties on board and support safe and efficient operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate and monitor all radio and communication systems on board
  • Maintain continuous communication with shore, supply vessels and support units
  • Handle emergency calls and follow established communication procedures
  • Keep radio logs, records and communication reports updated
  • Check, test and report status of communication and emergency equipment
  • Support bridge team and offshore crew with operational communication needs

Requirements

  • Relevant Radio Operator / GMDSS certification as per flag and offshore requirements
  • Previous experience as Radio Operator, preferably on FPSO/FSO or offshore units
  • Good knowledge of marine communication procedures and emergency protocols
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Fit for offshore work and willing to work in rotation
