Job Description

As a member of the Radio Systems and Technology Canada team, you will help define and develop radio products that advance Ericsson and our customers into 6G and beyond, with a focus on antenna design. Our team is part of the global Radio Systems and Technology organization, working on technical studies, early-phase development, prototyping, concept development, radio product architecture (hardware and software), and technology strategy.

Job Responsibility

  • Participate in antenna design activities including systemization, simulation, prototyping, measurement, and post-processing, with guidance from experienced team members
  • Contribute to antenna array signal processing algorithms
  • Collaborate with the global Ericsson research and development organization in Sweden and Canada
  • Drive innovation and contribute to patent filings to protect intellectual property
  • Build and maintain a professional network with technology experts within Ericsson

Requirements

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred) with strong focus on antenna-related electromagnetic theory, practice, and signal processing
  • Antenna array design and optimization using simulation tools (HFSS or CST)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB
  • Antenna feed network design in multilayer printed circuit boards
  • Hands-on experience fabricating antenna radiators
  • Implementation of antenna arrays
  • Design and fabrication of antennas at millimeter wave frequencies
  • Antenna parameter measurements and calibration using vector network analyzers
  • Antenna radiation pattern measurements in controlled environments
  • Knowledge of radar concepts, system design, and architecture
  • Understanding of wireless ecosystems, 3GPP standards, and 5G/6G evolution
