Radiation Therapist

• Administers radiation therapy treatments under the direction and approved treatment plans of a radiation therapy physician
• Localizes patients on the simulator machine
• Collects data needed by dosimetry for treatment planning
• May perform dose calculations
• Provides care/service to a critically ill through adolescents through geriatric patient population
• Demonstrates behavior consistent with the Core Values
• Supports the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
• Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained
• Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care
• Identifies self by name and title to patient/family
• Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive
• Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified
• Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee

• CA Radiation Therapy license
• ARRT in Radiation Therapy
• Current BLS Card
• Simulation patient set-up and treatment with a good understanding of treatment planning

Minimum one (1) year experience preferred
