Under the supervision of the Radiation Oncologist Medical Physicist and Practice manager, the staff Radiation Therapist accurately delivers ionizing radiation to the patients in accordance with the planned treatment prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. The staff Radiation Therapist will assist, as needed, in all aspects of the Radiation Oncology Department functions such as patient care, patient treatment delivery, patient treatment record, radiation safety, quality assurance and patient follow-up programs.
Job Responsibility:

Assist, as needed, in all aspects of the Radiation Oncology Department functions such as patient care, patient treatment delivery, patient treatment record, radiation safety, quality assurance and patient follow-up programs
May be required to occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy
Registered in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT
Licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health
BLS certification through American Heart Association
Current knowledge of appropriate clinical practices radiation protection and quality assurance patient management and care charges basic dosimetry and equipment
Nice to have:
Two (2) years recent radiation therapy experience preferred
Experience using ARIA or IMPAC Varian and CT simulation equipment preferred
