Our client is seeking a highly technical and proactive Radiation Oncology Analyst to provide hands-on technical and clinical application support for Radiation Oncology systems and workflows in an onsite, hybrid environment in Utah. This full-time role serves as a critical bridge between clinical operations and IT infrastructure, ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of Rad/Onc systems that directly support patient care and clinical delivery. The analyst will work closely with clinicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology staff, collaborating across infrastructure, applications, field services, service desk, clinical engineering, and clinical operations teams. The position requires flexibility, adaptability, and readiness to respond to urgent clinical needs, with direct exposure to patient-care environments and occasional regional travel.
Job Responsibility:
Support and maintain Radiation Oncology clinical systems, including Varian ARIA and associated EMR workflows
Provide technical support for clinical delivery systems used in radiation therapy
Collaborate with clinicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology staff to optimize system performance and reliability
Support cancer registry integrations and reporting needs
Assist with clinical pathways configuration and optimization
Troubleshoot and analyze application and system logs using centralized logging/audit tools (e.g., Unilog or equivalent)
Support HL7 interfaces, data flows, and system integrations
Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2019+), Windows 10/11 endpoints, and Active Directory, including security groups, group policies, and role-based access
Perform hardware maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to meet clinical uptime requirements
Support and troubleshoot Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions
Provide network support across LAN/WAN, including network monitoring tools and performance analysis
Partner closely with clinical engineering on system uptime, devices, and supporting infrastructure
Utilize SQL for querying, reporting, and troubleshooting clinical and operational data
Use Python for scripting, automation, and problem-solving where applicable
Support data integrity, availability, and downstream clinical reporting needs
Serve as an escalation point for complex Radiation Oncology technical issues
Participate in go-lives, upgrades, patching, and preventive maintenance
Ensure adherence to healthcare security, compliance, and operational best practices
Provide onsite, hands-on support in time-sensitive clinical settings
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and operate in fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environments
Requirements:
Experience with Radiation Oncology IT or clinical systems (Varian ARIA and Varian ecosystem strongly preferred)
Proficiency in HL7 interfaces and healthcare system integrations
Windows Server administration (2019+), Windows 10/11 support
Active Directory administration, including security groups, group policies, and role-based access
Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN), network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Hardware support, maintenance, and troubleshooting in clinical environments
Working knowledge of SQL for querying and reporting
Python scripting proficiency preferred
Experience with cancer registry systems or integrations (preferred)
Familiarity with logging, auditing, and troubleshooting tools (e.g., centralized log management such as Unilog)
