Job Description:

As the Development & Industrialization racket engineer, you will Manage the industrialization and manufacturability of new racket developments. You will also collaborate with HQ developers to drive the development process and ensure product milestones are achieved on time.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor innovative construction, processes, and materials in the sports and leisure sector, and in product-related industrial field in collaboration with the industrial partner
  • Identify and qualify materials / processes that could be implemented on future products
  • Leverage knowledge of construction, processes, and materials to influence development decisions and build technical toolbox
  • Share insights on processes evolution, especially on sustainability topics
  • Act as on-site racket developer to support the racket team in understanding the needs and challenges faced during innovation and development projects
  • Secure and operate the BABOLAT laboratory inside the industrial partner facility to secure the data communication with the HQ
  • Manage and monitor laboratory tests
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups on innovation & development projects and sample planning
  • Oversee timelines to ensure an efficient transition between a prototype green light and a production green light, which includes a close follow-up of the pre-series production
  • Provide technical expertise on construction and materials to secure a smooth transition to production of new models
  • Follow process improvements to enhance product quality, product footprint, speed, and efficiency
  • Monitor the life cycle of product molds
  • Deliver feedbacks on the industrial phase
  • Collaborate with HQ to create manufacturing guidelines for pro player samples
  • Supervise the sample room during the production of pro player samples
  • Validate the quality of samples before shipment
  • Support the implementation of BABOLAT CSR strategy
  • Follow the actions implemented by the industrial partner to develop sustainability

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a matrix organization
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in composite product engineering, development, and industrialization processes and timelines
  • Proficiency in reading 2D and 3D files, BOM/CBD, etc.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions to development and commercialization challenges
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to work with Asia-based peers and France-based brand leads
  • Fluency in English is required
