Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Back of House Supervisor to join Chester Race Company for the 2026 season. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and being part of exciting live events, we’d love you to work with us. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity supporting an outstanding programme of events — from race days at Chester Racecourse and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, to weddings, private celebrations, festivals, and nationally televised awards and shows. You’ll work at prestigious venues across the region, playing a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly as part of our expert catering teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising the kitchen porters in their day-to-day tasks and managing the kitchens in the Back of House Managers absence
  • Assisting in setting up and stocking kitchens on and off site
  • Washing dishes, cookware, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchens and back-of-house areas
  • Working as part of the wider catering team to support efficient service delivery

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in this type of role
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, including organising workloads
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong awareness of cleanliness, hygiene, and safe working practices
