We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Back of House Supervisor to join Chester Race Company for the 2026 season. This is a varied and rewarding opportunity supporting an outstanding programme of events — from race days at Chester Racecourse and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse, to weddings, private celebrations, festivals, and nationally televised awards and shows. You’ll work at prestigious venues across the region, playing a vital role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly as part of our expert catering teams.
Job Responsibility:
Supervising the kitchen porters in their day-to-day tasks and managing the kitchens in the Back of House Managers absence
Assisting in setting up and stocking kitchens on and off site
Washing dishes, cookware, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchens and back-of-house areas
Working as part of the wider catering team to support efficient service delivery
Requirements:
Previous experience in this type of role
Ability to lead and manage a team, including organising workloads
A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong awareness of cleanliness, hygiene, and safe working practices
Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player
