Our client, a growing international company based in Barcelona, is seeking an Accounting professional to join their finance team. You will be involved in monthly closings, general ledger management, reconciliations, cash reporting, and coordination with U.S. and Canadian markets. Job Responsibility
Coordinate and lead monthly closing activities in collaboration with the Swedish, Danish and Finnish markets
Manage general ledger accounts and journal entries, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, reclassifications, revaluations, and VAT offset
Handle intercompany, asset, and lease accounting activities
Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation
Supervise cash reporting and cash flow forecasts
Resolve accounting control issues related to VAT codes, currencies, and legal entities
Prepare VAT reporting schedules for approval
Monitor payment runs and manage bank payment approvals
Ensure an end-to-end overview of financial processes and reporting
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Strong analytical mindset with solid knowledge of accounting principles
Previous experience with intercompany reconciliations
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Hands-on experience working with SAP
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
