Airbus Helicopters is looking for a R&T Certification/Qualification Engineer (f/m) to join our Design Office based in Marignane, France. You will join the Certification/Qualification Programmes in development (ETJF) department. Within the Airworthiness Department (ETJ), the R&T Section is responsible for leading the Certification activities necessary to meet the development and deliveries milestones in the frame of AH R&T roadmap. The mission of the Certification/Qualification Engineer is to define certification activities in line with R&T Maturity Level of Airbus Helicopters topics. This results in a challenging cross-functional position, including negotiating internally but also with Aviation Authorities worldwide, with great responsibilities, and a good overview on our new innovative products (civil and military), on systems and on our organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Define certification activities in line with R&T Maturity Level of Airbus Helicopters topics
The identification of Certification/Qualification regulations applicable, and when not existing to propose and discuss with Aviation Authorities new/updated regulation, requirement or Means of Compliance
The definition of demonstrators 'Permit to Fly' strategy and substantiation needs
The management of schedule and priorities for all these activities
Allocating and coordinating R&T activities, according to Chief Engineer expectations, with Airworthiness Technical Department (when applicable)
Managing priorities internally and with Authorities
Managing R&T related activities while ensuring that harmonised processes are used
Following up and reporting on R&T activities progress, fixing hard points, and ensuring on time completion of the activities
Contributing to the identification, definition and/or adaptation, as necessary, of the R&T related organisation or process evolutions
Following up and contributing to regulation evolution in coordination with the Regulation & Policies Department
Identifying and defining the applicable Certification/Qualification basis
Defining the Certification/Qualification logic, establishing corresponding Plan, and potentially getting support from the Airworthiness Technical Department
Establishing Flight Conditions Approval files, for demonstrators, prototypes and serial aircraft
Contributing to the identification of ways to use our DOA on new products (in coordination with the AH DOA team)
Requirements:
Educated to 5-year degree level in Engineering
At least 5 to 8 years of overall experience: either 5 years in airworthiness (CVE or part of the airworthiness office for Certification/Qualification process, Permit to Fly process, Rulemaking process, …) or 3 years as in airworthiness AND 5 years as designer in a aeronautical technical field
Good relationship and communication skills in an international context
Synthetic, meticulous/structured way of working, dynamic and proactive

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities
