Job Description

Participate in building biochemistry and enzymology competence in analysis of interaction mechanisms and performance evaluation of biotechnology applied to feed raw materials, develop HTP analytical assays, and establish digital platform of biotechnology, to support new process and new product development in animal nutrition & health filed.

Job Responsibility

  • Build technical competences in feed related biochemistry and enzymology, efficiently collaborate with peer engineers, as well as coach associate R&I engineers and technicians
  • Take responsibility for the basic research and development of biochemistry, enzymology and other biotechnologies applied to the interaction mechanism of feed raw materials, develop and conduct visual demos in lab
  • Develop bio-based feed additive product, formulation and application process according to commercial targets
  • Design, conduct and optimize lab-scale HTP analytic assays for bio-based products performance screening and validation
  • Design, conduct and analyze in vitro and in vivo trials for bio-based products performance evaluation and validation, develop digital methods and tools by correlating in multiple scales
  • Lead, drive or support global INNODEV projects in bio-based product or process development
  • Transfer and localize international bio technology and products from global R&I
  • Scout new technology, patents and manage/follow partnership from academia frontier, industrial partners and start-ups in global scope
  • Analyze competition intelligence in biotechnology
  • Manage and produce biotech patents
  • Cross functional network with global/local R&I and business functions
  • Daily management of lab staff and their performance review
  • Other related work assigned by line manager

Requirements

  • PhD in biochemistry, enzymology, feed and animal nutrition relevant disciplines
  • 3-5 years relevant R&D experiences in feed and animal nutrition related biochemistry and enzymology development are highly preferred
  • Research: biochemistry, enzymology, feed and animal nutrition are highly preferred
  • Project management of R&D projects and technical platform
  • Strong communication skills in multi-functional and multi-national working atmosphere with local and global team

  • Bridge upstream research and product development by translating experimental findings into concrete lens design concepts, working closely with downstream R&D and product teams to ensure scientific insights inform tangible innovations
