Job Description:

Our client, a manufacturing company located near Dyersburg, TN is looking for an R&D Technologist to join their team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Independently lead product development projects from formulation through scale up and start up
  • Conduct lab tests, pilot plant and large-scale tests within manufacturing facilities to optimize formulation and/or process
  • Manage technical timelines, provide clear and timely communication, raise issues and risks, and develop contingency plans leveraging strong project management skills
  • Analyze and interpret data to make sound technical recommendations on product and process issues
  • Prepare detailed and well-structured technical reports on the outcome of the experiments
  • Proceed with researching processes, product improvements and cost saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product implementation, product development, scale-up, technology transfer and process characterization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, preferably in Food Science or Nutrition
  • 2+ years of experience in food product development
  • Respond to rapidly changing requirements, targets, and expectations
  • Organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of ingredient interactions/functionality

  • Act as a cross-functional product and technical expert for GenAI within engineering with close working relationships with customers, product management, support, and marketing supporting edge-to-cloud services offering
  • Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for product development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures
  • Help transition proof-of-concept implementations into R&D teams to accelerate new product delivery
  • Creates technical content such as designs, specifications, and initial software implementations
  • Guides and mentors less-experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence, helping to grow engineers into more senior technical roles
