As a Team Leader on the Audience Extension (Audex) team in our Tel Aviv Office, you’ll play a vital role in driving one of Taboola’s most strategic growth areas — enabling advertisers to reach new audiences beyond our owned-and-operated network. You’ll lead talented engineers to build large-scale systems, power premium ad placements across the open web and closed gardens, and unlock massive new revenue streams through data, scale, and innovation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead a team of skilled backend engineers building infrastructure used by thousands of sites and over 1.4B users globally
  • Drive strategic integrations with off-network and closed-garden environments
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Business, and Professional Services to deliver end-to-end bidder initiatives
  • Own and scale systems processing 500K+ requests per second and over 100TB of new data daily
  • Utilize a modern tech stack including Java, Spring, Spark, Cassandra, Kafka, MySQL, Kubernetes, and more
  • Foster a culture of growth, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience managing engineers or leading large-scale technical projects
  • 4+ years of hands-on backend development experience in Java or a similar OOP language
  • Proven experience designing and building distributed systems at scale
  • Strong computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, multi-threaded programming)
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data technologies

Nice to have:

  • Background in advertising technology or real-time bidding (RTB) systems
What we offer:

  • fully stocked kitchen
  • location-specific perks (gym partnerships, parking)
