Job Description

The Scientist in R&D Pianezze has the primary responsibility for conducting research tasks coordinated by more experienced scientists and manager.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting and analyzing experiments on new SB PSA adhesives to determine and evaluate their chemical and physical properties and to investigate their applications to industry
  • Carrying out experiments to improve upon or to duplicate finish goods or new raw materials engaging in research to identify new methods of processing or production
  • Apply scientific theories, concepts and techniques learned during studies and working period to articulate results and their meaning with reproducible data
  • Completing basic projects independently, drawing conclusions with guidance from experts and supervisor
  • Support local production helping with guidance and implementation of new-innovative processes
  • Identifying and developing solutions to problems where causal relationships can be identified and some precedence may exist
  • Documenting test results and making process improvement recommendations
  • Documenting project updates and executing projects using project management methodologies
  • Fulfilling responsibilities as required by the Quality System for the site/business unit
  • Working in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
  • 1+ years of professional, industry experience
  • Demonstrated ability to complete basic projects independently
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of business basics, including value propositions
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Fluent in English
