Lead the design and development of components (e.g., plastic and metal parts) and complex assemblies, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency
Own the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept and feasibility studies to industrialization and release
Use advanced parametric design tools (e.g., SolidWorks) to create and validate 2D/3D models, simulations, and technical documentation
Manage and optimize Bills of Materials (BOM), ensuring accuracy, cost control, and alignment with project requirements
Apply in-depth knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, assembly) to drive design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles
Collaborate with internal project stakeholders (e.g., R&D, laboratory, quality, product management, operations) to ensure alignment on project objectives and milestones
Lead technical interactions with suppliers, including co-design activities, feasibility assessments, and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with company standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
5–10 years of experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing environment
Strong expertise in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes
Proven experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks) and product data management systems
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, prioritize activities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of autonomy
Strong problem-solving mindset with a structured and analytical approach
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Proactive, results-driven, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
