Job Description:

CNET (Centre for New Energy Technologies), the EDP Group’s Research & Development (R&D) center, is reinforcing its Client Solutions R&D team through the recruitment of a R&D Project Engineer - European Programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support to the management of R&D projects within European funding programmes (Horizon Europe / H2020)
  • Execution of research activities in the Client Solutions R&D domain, including technical analysis, concept development, and evaluation of innovative solutions
  • Contribution to the drafting, design, and preparation of proposals for European calls
  • Support to cross-functional team activities, including documentation preparation, reporting, partner coordination, and/or dissemination activities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy area, etc.
  • Previous experience with projects funded by the European Commission (Horizon Europe / H2020) is highly valued
  • Knowledge (professional or academic) in the focus areas of EDP R&D Client Solutions is also considered an asset, namely: Industrial heat electrification
  • Autonomous and AI-based solutions for Distributed Energy Resources (DER)
  • Advanced Energy Management Systems (Advanced EMS) for B2B
  • Emerging decentralized renewable technologies
  • Technologies for the integration of energy communities
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have:

  • Work with approved labs and our Technical Applications Team to develop and support oil analysis programs & convert used oil data into effective reports for customer maintenance recommendations
  • Support, coordinate and manage local and regional field test projects focused on fluids such as engine oil, transmission oil, and gear oil to achieve industry approvals and support marketing claims as well as co-ordinate and support customer demonstration/acceptance testing (less rigorous than field testing)
  • Investigate and resolve product application problems by conducting root cause analysis. May include supporting quality and supply chain with concerns of product quality
