Job Description

This role focuses on redacting engineering drawings and RFQs (Request for Quote) to protect client confidentiality while ensuring that technical documentation remains accurate and complete. The position requires reviewing, redacting RFQs & Engineering Drawings and verifying compliance with confidentiality requirements, as well as collaborating with internal teams to ensure secure and precise document handling.

Job Responsibility

  • Analyze and redact 2D/3D engineering drawings and RFQs, ensuring sensitive client information is removed while maintaining technical clarity
  • Evaluate material selection and manufacturing processes to ensure alignment with design specifications and suggest alternatives when needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to clarify technical requirements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure quoting accuracy without exposing confidential information
  • Optimize redaction workflows to enhance efficiency and security while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards
  • Maintain organized records of redacted RFQs, drawings, and revisions, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards

Requirements

  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools (e.g., QCAD, E-Drawings)
  • Solid understanding of GD&T to maintain technical accuracy
  • Familiarity in analysing and redacting engineering drawings and RFQs, ensuring sensitive data is securely removed while preserving document clarity
  • Knowledge of document redaction best practices, secure handling of proprietary information, and compliance with industry confidentiality regulations
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication) and material selection (metals, plastics, composites) to assess RFQs accurately and suggest alternatives
  • Attention to detail in identifying and removing sensitive information while ensuring precision in technical documentation
  • Strong organizational skills to track document revisions, maintain records of redacted files, and ensure consistency in technical documentation
