Job Description

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quoting / Costing Engineer ready to shape the future of online manufacturing. This role sits at the intersection of engineering expertise, customer focus, and digital technology. You will be central to delivering accurate, timely, and competitive manufacturing quotes, helping innovators bring their products to life.

Job Responsibility

  • Review and analyse customer CAD files, drawings, and technical specifications to generate accurate manufacturing quotes
  • Interact directly with engineers and buyers to clarify requirements and offer expert guidance on manufacturability, material selection, and design optimisation
  • Leverage digital quoting tools and internal software to expedite and improve the quoting process
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Sales, and Operations to support order fulfilment and resolve technical challenges
  • Help onboard and support new manufacturing partners, ensuring consistent quality and reliable pricing
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC, sheet metal, injection moulding, 3D printing) and material trends

Requirements

  • 2-7 years in a technical quoting, applications engineering, or engineering support role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, or related technologies)
  • Ability to interpret CAD designs and technical drawings
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored for technical and non-technical customers alike
  • Comfortable using digital tools, quoting systems, and CRM platforms

Nice to have

  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
  • Experience working in a tech-driven or scale-up environment
  • Knowledge of digital manufacturing platforms or online marketplaces
  • Familiarity with materials science, tolerancing, suppliers, and global supply chain considerations
  • A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving mindset
