The Quotation Specialist delivers excellent customer service by efficiently managing customer inquiries and developing accurate, complete quotations primarily related to reconditioning services. This role is responsible for thoroughly gathering and analyzing customer requirements, identifying appropriate spare parts and technical specifications, and creating commercial and technical quotations and orders. The Quotation Specialist collaborates closely with second-level support, works with bills of material, technical drawings, and project documentation, and advises customers on Bühler standards and reconditioning recommendations. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, timely follow‑through, and consistent, reliable attendance, along with flexibility to support additional duties as needed.
Job Responsibility
Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly
Thoroughly and efficiently gather relevant information from customers for identification and fulfilment of their needs
Properly identify necessary spare parts and specifications for reconditioning services
Create complete client quotations & orders for workshop reconditioning (commercial/technical)
Process technical/commercial enquiries (feedback, pass on to 2nd level)
Work with BOMs (Bill of material/part list), customer project documents, technical drawings, and installed base database
Collaborate with second-level support in the quotation process
Advise client regarding Buhler standards and recommendations regarding reconditioning for their equipment
Arrive at work predictably and promptly
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma is required, additional technical education is a plus
Minimum of 3 years of experience within customer service, manufacturing, installation or service, sales
Microsoft Office experience is required
SAP or comparable ERP system experience required
Demonstrates leadership as an effective role model for the department in tasks both internal and external to the company
Works collaboratively within a group in order to achieve a common goal
Utilizes effective approaches for choosing a course of action for developing appropriate solutions
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and relationship building skills
able to communicate clearly and effectively in person and in writing internally and externally
