Job Description:

Adbri currently has an opportunity for a multi-skilled Quarry Worker to join the team at our Penrose Quarry in New South Wales in a full-time permanent role. Our Quarry Workers operate a variety of mobile and fixed plant, including loaders, excavators, dozers, dump trucks both rigid and articulated as well as fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
  • Operate mobile plant and equipment
  • Undertake housekeeping and basic maintenance
  • Occasional manual handling and general labouring

Requirements:

  • Current RII competencies
  • Certificate 3 or 4 in extractive industries
  • Understanding of fixed crushing and screening operations
  • Current drivers’ licence
  • Demonstrated experience operating mobile plant and equipment in a quarry or mine
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong commitment to health and safety

  • Production Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily logs of crew activities, production quantities, and equipment usage. Track material quantities and document quantities for payment. Monitor progress against production goals and report variances to Project Manager
  • Surveying: Perform progress surveys to verify installation of work and assemble cross sections and bathymetry maps to provide project progress documentation for the Project Manager and client
  • Scheduling & Planning: Assist in preparing project schedules. Identify potential delays and work with the team to resolve them
