The primary duty for this role will be to support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry. Job Responsibility:
Support the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Quarry
Support the management of production and extraction activities
Troubleshooting technical problems
Overseeing planning of day-to-day operations in conjunction with other departments across site
Conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections
Demonstrate leadership in safety
Administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control
Plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion
Contribute to the Company’s zero harm culture
Requirements:
Background in the extractive industry
Familiar with the extractive process
Strong focus on safety
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability in pro-actively identifying problems, seeking pertinent data, recognising important information, and identifying possible causes of problems
Adherence to company policy and/or procedures
Awareness of other people and environment and own impact on these
Tolerance for and ability to handle the details and paperwork associated with the job
Ability to establish efficiently an appropriate course of action for self and/or others to achieve a goal
Sets high, professional work standard consistently
