Job Description:

As a part-time Scalehouse clerk you will be working in a customer-facing role. Weighing and documenting each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations. Based out of our Duntroon Quarry and Anten Mills Pit.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responds to customer inquiries and to provide information on products and materials
  • Receives payments in cash, cheque and credit cards and completes appropriate documentation
  • Produces a variety of reports such as Transaction Reports, Sales Data Reports and Cash Sales Reports
  • Operate a three-way radio system to communicate with various colleagues at the quarry
  • Opens and closes the scale house to ensure systems such as computers, security etc, are operating correctly
  • Weighing and documenting each truck leaving the quarry to ensure that loads are correct and do not violate safety transportation regulations

Requirements:

  • At least a year’s experience in a customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a variety of different settings indoor and outdoor
