Job Description

Hy-Tec currently has an opportunity for a Quarry Worker to join our Kalbar, Queensland plant in a full-time permanent role. Our Quarry Workers operate mobile and fixed plant and equipment, including Front End Loaders, Excavators and Dump Trucks. If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a friendly and supportive team, where your contribution will be valued, then this is the job for you. To be successful in this role you will enjoy working in a small team, be flexible and approachable and also feel pride in doing a good job in a safe manner. This is a great opportunity to gain quarrying experience in a secure and growing industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
  • Operate mobile and fixed plant
  • Undertake housekeeping, basic maintenance and general labouring duties
  • Report Incidents/hazards to the supervisor

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in operating mobile plant and/or heavy equipment
  • Current driver's licence and own reliable transport

Nice to have

  • Loader operator ticket
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
