Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Quarry Operative to join our Temple team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain conveyor belts, plant areas, and quarry infrastructure to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work, working with tools and machinery, and being part of a busy quarry environment while following strict health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and clean conveyor belts, plant areas, and walkways
  • Dig out and remove material build-up from under belts and around quarry plant
  • Strim and clear vegetation to keep work areas safe and accessible
  • Assist with conveyor maintenance, roller changes, belt repairs, and shutdown work
  • Inspect belts and plant for wear or damage and report faults
  • Support general quarry housekeeping and drainage clearing duties
  • Follow all health, safety, and isolation procedures while working around heavy machinery
  • Work closely with maintenance teams and operators to keep plant running safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Ability to carry out physically demanding outdoor work safely and efficiently
  • Basic knowledge of conveyor belt and quarry plant maintenance
  • Experience using hand tools, strimmers, and maintenance equipment
  • Reliable team player with good communication and problem-solving skills
