An established construction consultancy based in the heart of the City of London, just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its expanding cost management team. The successful Quantity Surveyor will manage a range of pre- and post-contract cost management duties across multiple live projects. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will provide commercial advice from project inception through to completion, building strong client relationships while playing an integral role in successful project delivery. Job Responsibility
Preparing cost plans, estimates, and feasibility reports
Managing tender documentation, procurement, and contractor selection
Delivering post-contract services including valuations, variations, and cost reporting
Attending client meetings, site inspections, and project progress reviews
Assisting with final accounts and commercial close-out
Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and design teams
Requirements
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Previous UK consultancy experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Experience delivering both pre- and post-contract cost management services
Working towards MRICS or keen to achieve chartership
Good understanding of JCT contracts
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
