The QS engineer will primarily support quantity measurement, interim payment certification (IPC), cost control, and variation-related verification during the construction supervision stage of road and culvert works under Package 2 of the VCRTP Project, while also assisting quality control and safeguard compliance activities.
Job Responsibility:
Quantity Surveying & Payment Certification: Measure, verify, and record quantities of works executed
Assist in review and verification of contractor’s progress invoices and Interim Payment Certificates (IPC)
Maintain accurate records of measurements, test results, and supporting documents for payments
Support monitoring and assessment of claims, including variations and adjustments
Cost Control & Progress Monitoring: Track physical and financial progress against approved schedules and quantities
Support evaluation of construction progress and assist in identifying potential cost or schedule impacts
Maintain daily progress logs, quantity records, and cost-related documentation
Quality Control Supporting QS Functions: Verify quality control test results and ensure compliance with specifications as supporting evidence for payments
Ensure all QC tests and laboratory results are properly documented and linked to measured quantities
Assist in inspection of materials and workmanship relevant to quantity and payment certification
As-Built Quantities & Documentation: Support preparation and verification of As-Built drawings and final quantities for Project Completion Reports
Ensure consistency between executed works, approved drawings, and measured quantities
Reporting & Digital Monitoring: Record quantity, progress, and quality data using ICT-based monitoring tools (ODK)
Support the dissemination of progress, quantities, and payment-related information through Viber or other mobile platforms
Upload quantity measurement records, progress photos, and supporting evidence to the project server
Coordination & Safeguard Integration: Coordinate with International team and safeguard experts to ensure compliance requirements are reflected in measurement, reporting, and payment processes
Include safeguard compliance status in inspection records, measurement sheets, and progress reports
