Job Description:

If you are a Project QS who is looking for a clear path progression to Senior Quantity Surveyor, this one is worth a read!

Job Responsibility:

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager
  • Administration and commercial management of projects from procurement to final account, across a variety of sectors (Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential)
  • Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), financial forecasts, and cost reports
  • Management and negotiation of variations, claims, and final accounts with subcontractors and the client
  • Assisting in the production and issue of commercial notices to both the Client and Subcontractors
  • Working to maintain profit and margin targets across assigned projects

Requirements:

  • Experience working for a Main Contractor as a Quantity Surveyor/ Project Quantity Surveyor is necessary
  • Ability to manage and commercially control multiple projects or packages at one time
  • Experience across a variety of sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Commercial, or Residential is beneficial
  • Good contractual knowledge and negotiation skills
  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline
