Job Description

An established, client-focused construction consultancy in Central London is seeking a confident and career-driven Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative team. Projects are varied and high quality, ranging from luxury residential developments to hotel and mixed-use schemes across London and the South East.

Job Responsibility

  • Take ownership of smaller projects with Partner support
  • Assist senior team members on larger, more complex schemes
  • Build towards chartership in a supportive environment

Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a RICS-accredited equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ cost consultancy experience
  • Working towards MRICS
  • Strong pre-contract knowledge and cost planning skills
  • Professional, confident, and client-facing

  • Work with the Commercial Manager and Project Controls team support the delivery of the commercial function of the framework
  • Develop in person working relationships with Amentum, Client and Subcontract teams to effectively deliver contract requirements
  • Execution of NEC3 forms of contract activities including preparation of applications for payment, tracking pricing and implementation of change, supporting drafting of early warnings
  • Gathering evidence to support main contract applications and fulfilling contract audit requirements
  • Provide support for Project Controls and Cost Engineers in order to submit cost reports for review by the Commercial Manager, to enable the utilisation of the data for cost forecasts, revenue, and gross margin assumptions/submissions
  • Ensure Sub-Contract arrangements are put in place when required using the NEC suite of Contract Documents
  • Ensure correct administrative processes are put in place for management of these Sub-Contracts paying attention to change controls, early warning, compensation events, changes to scope of works and payment
