An established engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team supporting a major water and wastewater asset maintenance framework across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term framework delivering large-scale maintenance and improvement works across a broad portfolio of clean water and wastewater treatment assets. The role offers exposure to a high-volume programme of works within a collaborative, fast-paced and technically interesting environment. The successful candidate will provide commercial support across a portfolio of projects, helping to ensure works are procured effectively, delivered within budget and managed in line with contractual requirements. You will play a key role in identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, while supporting the wider commercial team in driving strong project outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Commercially manage your own portfolio of projects from development stage through to final account
Support the preparation and issue of accurate, timely and contractually compliant notices and correspondence
Maintain registers for variations, delays, extensions of time and claims
Assist with the preparation of monthly valuations and applications for payment
Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and contract budget reports
Liaise collaboratively with client and employer commercial teams to maximise opportunities and improve project outcomes
Support pre-contract tender negotiations and prepare associated reports where required
Contribute to value engineering / value management exercises
Advise on risk management and participate in commercial risk workshops
Prepare, review and complete subcontract documentation
Review subcontract tender enquiries and support subcontract procurement
