Job Responsibility:
Cost Estimation & Tendering: Assist in the preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and cost estimates for new retail and commercial projects
Contractual Administration: Support the team in drafting Letters of Award, managing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with project terms
Financial Management: Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts. Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control to ensure profitability
Site & Stakeholder Liaison: Conduct site valuations and coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and project teams to verify work progress and resolve discrepancies
Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all project-related documents, including drawings, contracts, claims, and change orders
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
min 4-6 years of experience in the construction or interior design industry, with exposure to retail or commercial projects
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Provisional registration with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) is a plus
Nice to have:
Experience in working with SEA clients would be a plus
Experience with working with China clients would be a plus
