Based in our Middlesbrough office, you’ll support our operations in Leeds, enjoying the fast pace of work in our collaborative team.
Job Responsibility:
Actively price materials and labour for responsive repairs workstream using SORs
manage financial performance of works to completion
reduce costs, improve efficiencies, maximise value
be responsible for financial and technical aspects of contract including procurement, budget management, direct labour targeting, subcontractor management, invoicing, payments, cash flow, cost control
minimise costs and maximise value
work with direct labour and subcontractors ensuring work issued has labour targets to return agreed profit performance
develop and maintain open and trusting relationships with workforce, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and client
produce monthly contract valuations of unit’s actual deliverables against projected budget (CVRs)
Requirements:
Advanced Excel skills
ability to quickly interrogate and manipulate data
ability to explain and justify decisions
deep understanding of SOR codes
knowledge of social housing
proven experience in a similar commercial or quantity surveying role
experience working on Schedule of Rates (SORs) contracts with social housing clients
proven ability to minimise cost and maximise value, profit, and cash flow
strong IT skills
ability to process high volumes of data analysis
experience in working with direct labour and subcontract procurement
