Job Description:

Quantity Surveyor role at Story Contracting's Story Scotland division, based from Blantyre, Perth or Inverness. The company has extensive experience in civil engineering, rail and construction, offering practical and innovative solutions. The role involves being part of a team of Quantity Surveyors and reporting to the Lead Quantity Surveyor.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage project costs from concept to completion
  • Oversee contractual commitments and challenge and support to identify best value solutions
  • Build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, internal colleagues and supply chain partners

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree level qualification
  • Be actively working towards chartership with RCIS or CICES
  • Bring previous experience of working within rail, infrastructure and civil engineering sectors
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Exhibit a well organised and disciplined approach, demonstrating the ability to accurately analyse and report on information gained
  • Show confidence to work on own initiative with good planning and preparation skills
