A leading independent construction consultancy specialising in commercial and residential developments is currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in Central London. Operating in a client-side capacity, this consultancy has built a reputation for delivering high-quality developments across the capital. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from mixed-use developments to bespoke commercial refurbishments. The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in supporting the cost management and procurement functions across multiple schemes at various stages of the development lifecycle.
Job Responsibility:
Preparing detailed cost plans and estimates from feasibility through to construction
Managing the tender process, including preparation of documents and analysis of contractor proposals
Conducting value engineering exercises and cost option appraisals
Preparing monthly cost reports for clients, including forecasts and risk analysis
Administering contracts, tracking change control, and ensuring proper documentation is maintained
Liaising with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within a consultancy or client-side role
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related field
MRICS or working towards APC is preferred
Proven experience in pre- and post-contract cost management
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of UK procurement routes
Previous experience working on London-based projects is desirable
