A leading consultancy is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Energy & Infrastructure team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established consultancy delivering work across major programmes and projects within energy, power and wider infrastructure, supporting high-profile clients on complex capital projects. You’ll have the chance to work across a diverse project portfolio, develop your consultancy skillset, and build your experience across some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure and energy schemes.
Job Responsibility:
Administer a variety of contracts in line with project objectives and client requirements
Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting through to project completion
Proactively monitor and manage cost variance, contract cash flow and applications
Work closely with client and contractor teams to support delivery against project KPIs, programme performance and cost objectives
Manage contract change / compensation events effectively, ensuring robust governance and best practice is followed
Support budget control, forecasting accuracy and value engineering initiatives
Contribute to the successful delivery of major capital projects across the energy and infrastructure sectors
Requirements:
Experience operating at Quantity Surveyor level
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred)
Working towards or already holding professional membership (e.g. RICS or equivalent) would be advantageous
Strong contract management experience, ideally with NEC3 / NEC4 exposure
Experience supporting the delivery of major programmes and projects
Sector experience within either: Infrastructure - e.g. rail, aviation, marine / ports, utilities, highways
Energy - e.g. nuclear, oil & gas, wind, carbon capture
