The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for a step up and will join the Civil Engineering sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. Job Responsibility

Manage costs and maximise margin whilst enhancing value for money for our clients and achieving the required standards and quality

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
  • Previous experience on projects £2 Million +
  • Live or able to commute to Guildford
  • Experience of working within the Construction industry for a Main Contractor, specifically on NEC Conditions of Contract

  • Work with the Commercial Manager and Project Controls team support the delivery of the commercial function of the framework
  • Develop in person working relationships with Amentum, Client and Subcontract teams to effectively deliver contract requirements
  • Execution of NEC3 forms of contract activities including preparation of applications for payment, tracking pricing and implementation of change, supporting drafting of early warnings
  • Gathering evidence to support main contract applications and fulfilling contract audit requirements
  • Provide support for Project Controls and Cost Engineers in order to submit cost reports for review by the Commercial Manager, to enable the utilisation of the data for cost forecasts, revenue, and gross margin assumptions/submissions
  • Ensure Sub-Contract arrangements are put in place when required using the NEC suite of Contract Documents
  • Ensure correct administrative processes are put in place for management of these Sub-Contracts paying attention to change controls, early warning, compensation events, changes to scope of works and payment
