Job Description:

The client is looking for a dynamic Quantity Surveyor with 3-4 years of experience in utility projects, including clean or wastewater, gas, fibre, LV underground cabling, and civils. The successful candidate will be self-sufficient, taking pride in their work and able to manage their tasks independently. They will work under the supervision of a Senior QS, primarily focusing on monitoring best practices.

Job Responsibility:

Weekly P&Ls and Monthly CVRs
Subcontract management & Payment
Desktop Measurement and Valuation
Client meetings weekly
Internal meetings weekly
Cash forecasting and Programme forecasting for cost and sales
Understanding of accruals
WIP (Work in Progress) management
Applications and invoicing
Submitting compensation events and tracking through to agreement, articulating contractual risk associated with CEs

Requirements:

3-4 years of experience in utility projects
Proven experience in the mentioned tasks
Strong understanding of contractual obligations and risks
In-office presence required daily
Based in Central Scotland
Working hours: 8 am to 5 pm
