Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major defense infrastructure project at Marne Barracks. Working as a key part of a wider commercial team, your primary focus will be driving subcontract procurement to ensure project milestones are met with precision and commercial integrity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Issuing ITT (Invitation to Tender) documentation to the supply chain
  • Analyzing quotes, undertaking detailed measure checks, and conducting tender comparisons
  • Leading tender discussions and negotiations with subcontractors to ensure value for money and technical compliance
  • Drafting formal subcontract order documentation
  • Compiling accurate internal and external procurement reports for senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a QS or Senior QS within the construction or civil engineering sectors
  • Strong background in subcontract procurement and supply chain management
  • High level of proficiency in measurement and cost analysis
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the site, candidates must be eligible for (or currently hold) relevant security clearance to work on a military installation.
