Job Description

An established, specialist UK tier-2 construction contractor based in London are searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team. They're heavily recognised for delivering high-spec commercial interiors, architectural facades, and critical rail/station infrastructure. Unlike general fit-out firms, they are a deeply technical contractor specialising in structural dry lining, fire protection, and external envelope engineering. The selected candidate will ideally have Interiors/Fit-out experience with either a Main or Sub-Contractor. They have offices in Acton & Dartford which the candidate can chose where to be based out of . Hybrid working is available as well.

Job Responsibility

  • Commercial Management: Administering subcontract packages, procuring materials, and monitoring project budgets to ensure delivery is on time and within financial constraints
  • Contract Administration: Managing compensation events, cost reporting, and change controls, heavily relying on the NEC Contract (NEC Experience is not essential)
  • Site Valuations: Conducting site walks, reviewing project progress, preparing interim valuations, and applying for client payments

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent on-the-job experience
  • Typically requires 3+ years of experience working for a main contractor or Interiors contractor
  • Interiors/Fit-out experience with either a Main or Sub-Contractor
  • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
