Job Responsibility

  • Cost Estimation & Tendering: Assist in the preparation of detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and cost estimates for new retail and commercial projects
  • Contractual Administration: Support the team in drafting Letters of Award, managing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with project terms
  • Financial Management: Prepare progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts
  • Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control to ensure profitability
  • Site & Stakeholder Liaison: Conduct site valuations and coordinate with sub-contractors, suppliers, and project teams to verify work progress and resolve discrepancies
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of all project-related documents, including drawings, contracts, claims, and change orders

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in FnB, Retail or Corporate Office project experience
  • Open to Senior Contract & Commercial roles for ID corporate office project experiences as well
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  • Experience: min 4-6 years of experience in the construction or interior design industry, with exposure to retail or commercial projects
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp)
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are also essential
  • Experience with working with China clients would be a plus
  • Experience in working with SEA clients would be a plus
  • Certifications: Provisional registration with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) is a plus
