Job Description:

Akuna Capital is seeking a Quantitative Strategist to join its Quantitative Trading and Research team. The role involves developing and enhancing trading strategies using quantitative expertise and a deep understanding of financial markets, collaborating with researchers, traders, and system engineers to make a direct impact on trading decisions and performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and develop production code for trading strategies, including pricing models, execution logic, and performance optimization
  • Analyze and incorporate market signals into trading systems
  • Advance existing codebase by proposing new solutions, optimizations, and improvements
  • Participate in rapid prototyping of cutting-edge trading solutions
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and developments in financial markets
  • Respond quickly and accurately to rapidly changing market conditions
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related subject)
  • 3+ years of experience in a quantitative or programming role, preferably within finance or trading
  • Proficient programming skills in Python (C++ is a plus)
  • Deep understanding of Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods, Statistics, Optimization, Signal Processing, Computer Architecture, Machine Learning, and Heterogeneous/High-Performance Computing
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in financial markets and trading
  • Ability to react quickly and accurately to rapidly changing market conditions
